StormSync Lite is a standalone radar application built purely for rapid performance and immediate hazard visualization. Open it, see the radar, see every active warning polygon, done.
Where the full StormSync VT/OI app is a complete monitoring suite that requires your own NWWS-OI credentials, Lite is the opposite philosophy: zero setup. A centralized StormSync ingest connects to NWWS-OI once, parses every National Weather Service text alert and warning polygon, and broadcasts them to all Lite users instantly, completely securing source credentials.

Almost every radar app on the market gets its warnings the same way: by polling the public NWS REST API. That feed is great, but it sits downstream and typically adds a 60 to 120 second delay between a warning being issued and your phone or PC hearing about it. Lite skips that entire layer. It listens to the same NWWS-OI wire that TV stations and emergency managers use, through the StormSync central broadcast source.
