Southern Plains ENH Risk Outbreak

April 22–23, 2026 — real-world performance during an Enhanced Risk event featuring a significant tornado emergency near Enid, Oklahoma.

Tornado Alert Parsing

Perfect parsing across all tornado alert types. StormSync correctly caught and prioritized the Tornado Emergency for the City of Enid — currently rated EF4 — with proper color-coding and overlays firing instantly on issuance.

NWWS-OI XMPP Stability

A straight disconnect issue was observed during extended sessions — the connection would drop and require a manual fix every 3–4 hours of nonstop usage. Minor in practice, but flagged for the next patch.

VTEC Engine Accuracy

Flawless VTEC processing throughout the event. Upgrading tornado warnings in real time worked amazingly — products stepped through severity tiers without any missed transitions or misclassifications.

New v0.0.3 Features

All new features introduced in the v0.0.3 test build performed as expected with no unexpected behavior observed during the event window.

9 /10
Verdict: Great Performance

A strong showing for the v0.0.3 test build. Alert parsing was perfect, VTEC handling was flawless, and new features delivered. The XMPP disconnect issue is a real-world reliability concern worth addressing before stable release, but it didn’t compromise data integrity during the event.

Midwest MDT Risk Outbreak

March 10–11, 2026 — real-world performance during the first-ever CIG2 issuance and the Knox Tornado Emergency.

SPC Risk MDT
CIG Level CIG 2
Max Rating EF3
Environment v0.0.2

Tornado Emergency Processing

Caught the Knox Tornado Emergency with correct Rank 115 prioritization. Pink color-coding and overlay triggers fired within a second of product issuance.

NWWS-OI XMPP Stability

Held a solid connection for 48 hours straight. No packet loss and no reconnection cycles during peak data volume.

VTEC Engine Accuracy

Every tornado sub-type — PDS, Confirmed, Observed — was parsed correctly and sorted into the right priority tier in real time.

Visual Display Bug

Alert cards weren’t updating their “Action Label” when a product was upgraded in real time. Identified and logged — fix targeted for the v0.0.3 patch.

8 /10
Verdict: Solid Performance

Core alert delivery held up perfectly under heavy load. The display bug is a minor visual issue that doesn’t affect the underlying data. Strong showing for an early beta.

Warning — Non-Critical Issue Detected

This card flags a minor issue that was observed but did not compromise core data integrity or alert delivery. Logged for a future patch cycle.

Fail — Bug Confirmed

This card marks a confirmed bug or failure that affected system behavior during the event. Targeted for resolution in the next release build.

Pass — New Feature Validated

New features introduced in the tested build version get their own diagnostic card to confirm they behaved as expected under real-world conditions.
