Reads and decodes NWS VTEC strings, UGC zones, phenomena codes, and significance levels. Tornado alerts are broken down into sub-types — Emergency, PDS, Confirmed, Observed, or Radar Indicated — each with its own severity rank from 1 to 115.

Color-Coded by Severity

Every alert tier gets its own color — Tornado Emergency in magenta, PDS in purple, down to advisories at the bottom. One glance tells you what's happening, even when things move fast.

  • Full SPC Support: Added support for SPC Outlooks Day 1 through 8.
  • New Monitoring Tabs: Added dedicated SPC Watches tab and a real-time Warnings Map.
  • Alert Counters: Added a live counter for Tornado and Severe Thunderstorm alerts that dynamically highlights the highest ranking active alert.
  • Settings Overhaul: The "Admin" panel is now the "Settings" menu, featuring full color palette configurations, notification toggles, and sound settings.

  • MCD Engine: Fixed parsing issues where the system would occasionally display stale MCDs or fail to render new ones.
  • Connection Logic: Fixed the connection status label to accurately reflect real-time XMPP heartbeat status.
  • XMPP Refinement: Minor tweaks to the XMPP authentication handshake for better stability on startup.
  • VTEC Parsing: Fixed action label parsing issues to ensure correct "Updated" and "Extended" flagging.
